i was wonderingif i could connect a switch to the rem from my battery so i could turn the amp on and off at will and if this would be the way to do it.
that way i could turn it off but still listen to my stereo in places where loud bass would be bad.
and if anyone has any good suggestions on where to run the wires that would be great.

Yup it’s fine to do. Any toggle switch will do. What might be a better option is to get a dial that hooks on to your rca cables. You can control the bass that way. Better than always turning the amp on and off. You can get them at your local car audio shop for like 10-20 bucks.
