Did style and practicality weigh equally with car buyers in the 1920s as it does today?

I was not around then but there really was not much to choose from back then. Model ‘T’ Ford or a horse and buggy. Not much style and definitely not much practicality either way. Neither had heat or ac, no power steering or cd player and not much for the kids to do on a 3 day long trip into town. Speed limit was only 15 mph and even the cops could not catch a car on foot.
